editorUnnecessaryCode.opacity

editor unnecessary code opacity. Opacity of unnecessary (unused) source code in the editor. For example, `"#000000c0"` will render the code with 75% opacity. For high contrast themes, use the `"editorUnnecessaryCode.border"` theme color to underline unnecessary code instead of fading it out.

How to change editor unnecessary code opacity color in Visual Studio Code

macOS

  1. Open settings.json. Press Shift+Command+P to open the Command Palette, then run Preferences: Open User Settings (JSON).
  2. Set this color id. Add editor unnecessary code opacity under workbench.colorCustomizations. Opacity of unnecessary (unused) source code in the editor. For example, `"#000000c0"` will render the code with 75% opacity. For high contrast themes, use the `"editorUnnecessaryCode.border"` theme color to underline unnecessary code instead of fading it out. Use a hex color such as #1a5276.
  3. Save the file. Press Command+S to save settings.json. Visual Studio Code applies the override on top of the active color theme. Remove the entry to use the theme color again.

Windows

Linux uses the same shortcuts.
